Ethoso

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

Ethoso is made by Kellen Dunn. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

The short version

Your habits, check-ins, moods and todos stay on your iPhone. There is no account, no server, no tracking and no ads. We don't collect, sell or share your personal information.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the habits you create, the days you check them off, your mood check-ins, your todos and your settings, including the name you enter for the greeting. This information is saved only on your iPhone, inside the app and its widgets. It is included in your iPhone's own iCloud or computer backups if you have those turned on, the same as other apps' data.

Apple Health

If you link a habit to Apple Health (for example, steps or sleep), the app asks your permission to read that kind of data. It reads it on your iPhone only to decide whether to check the habit off. Health data is never stored by the app, copied to iCloud, uploaded, used for advertising, or shared with anyone. You can turn off access at any time in the Settings app › Health › Data Access & Devices.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, the app schedules notifications on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether you have Pro.

Backups you make

If you use Back Up Data, the app creates a file with your habits, check-ins, moods and todos and saves it wherever you choose (for example, iCloud Drive). We don't have access to that file.

Emails you send us

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply to you.

Children

The app doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
